This pattern represents water. Water is liquid and formless. Water never loses it's nature, it always flows downwards. The principles behind this Taegeuk show us that we can overcome difficulties and hardships if we go forward with self confidence. Actions should be performed with a flowing motion, steadily through the techniques.

  1. Pivot on right foot turn to the left 90 degrees, moving into long stance, Low section Block (L)

  2. Snap Kick with the right, then step backwards, back stance, Outer forearm block

  3. Pivot on the left, turn to the right 180 degrees, Long Stance, Low Section Block (R)

  4. Snap kick with the left, then step backwards, Back Stance, Outer Forearm block (R)

  5. Pivot on the right foot, turn to the left 90 degrees, Long Stance, Outer forearm knife hand block (R)

  6. Turning Kick with the right, then step forward into Long Stance

  7. Pivot on the right foot, turn to the left 90 degrees, Long Stance, High section outer forearm block (L) then Mid section reverse punch (R)

  8. Snap kick with the right, then step forward into long stance, Mid section reverse punch (L)

  9. Pivot on the left foot, turn to the right 180 degrees, Long Stance, High section outer forearm block (R) then Mid section reverse punch (L)

  10. Snap kick with the left, then step forward into long stance, mid section reverse punch (R)

  11. Pivot on the right foot, turn to the left 90 degrees, Ready Stance, High Section X block move slowly into side block (5 secs)

  12. Move the right foot one step forward, Long Stance, Outer forearm knife hand block (L)

  13. Turning kick with the left, and Kiai (Shout), then step forward into Long Stance,

  14. Pivot on the left foot turn to the right 270 degrees, long stance, Low section block (R)

  15. Snap kick with the left, then step backwards, back stance, Outer Forearm block (R)

  16. Pivot on the right foot, turn to the left 180 degrees, Long Stance, Low section block (L)

  17. Snap kick with right, then step backwards, back Stance, Outer forearm block (L)

  18. Pivot on the left foot, turn to the left 90 degrees, stepping backwards into back stance, knife hand guarding block (L)

  19. Move the left foot one step backwards, back stance, knife hand guarding block (R)

  20. Move the right foot one step backwards, Long Stance, Palm hand block (L)

  21. Mid Section reverse punch (R)

  22. Move the left foot one step backwards, long stance, Palm hand block (R)

  23. Mid section reverse punch (L)
